Now I have a reason to watch NBA again.

It's been a long time since I payed any attention to the NBA. I used to be a huge Lakers fan when Magic, Jabbar, Worthy, Rambus, Cooper, Scott, Thompson, A.C. Green were there but things changed and I don't really follow much NBA any more.  Now I have a reason to tune in again.  It will be interesting how Beasely and Walker adapt to the NBA.  Walker walked into a great situation in Boston, his playing time may not be as great early on as might have been on a less gifted team but to play with KG, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen that would be a huge honor.  And Beasley has steped into a pretty good situation as well with an established star the pressure is really off of Beasley to put up huge numbers and he can be a utility player if needed for the first couple of years.  Finally a reason to watch the NBA

Just wishing September would get here.

Well, I was just thinking about how boring summer is.  I can't watch baseball with out falling asleep,  I do have lots of work to do to get our house fixed up but am hoping for fall and a new football season.  I'm ready for the KU fans to finally realize that just because you had 1 good year doesn't mean the next year everyone is going to role over for you.  In fact this will be much harder because now teams are gunning for you.  You aren't going to sneak up on anyone like you did last year, and Reesing will be exposed to be the average "scramble" QB he really is.  He lost the biggest reason he wasn't sacked more to the NFL this year and I'm ready to see him eating a little more grass this fall!!  But I digress..

I hope my Wildcats can have a turn around season but I'm in the wait and see mode right now.  I'm going to give them 4 games to get a feel about the new players and some of the old players who were hurt las season.  I think we have a legit shot at 8 wins this year but then again I'm going with the wait and see state of mind, so I better stop thinking about it.

Basketball recruits

Basketball is getting interesting with Jordan Henrequez (sp) comming in I think he will be a good player in 2-3 years and could be one of the top big men in the big 12 by his senior season.  He needs to develop his game and his body but if he and coach Martin give him the time and the coaching he could be solid.  And the returning players are not stars by any means but I think they could mesh well together and have a solid season next year.
